Butterfly Gardens lecture to be held July 19 at Village Hall

The Sustainability Saturday Gardening Series continues this Saturday, July 19, when Bill and Jennifer Tobin, U of I Master Gardeners, present a lecture on butterfly gardens.

Find out the basic needs of the common Illinois butterflies so you can design butterfly-friendly gardens. You’ll also learn what plants will attract these “flowers of the air.”

The lecture begins at 9:30 a.m. at Park Forest's Village Hall, 350 Victory Drive.

The Sustainable Saturdays Gardening Series -- a series of free lectures held every third Saturday of the month through October -- is sponsored by the Village of Park Forest, the Park Forest Environment Commission, University of Illinois Extension, Thorn Creek Nature Center and the Park Forest Garden Club.
